La Petite Maison's Cocktail – The Method
WThis is a simplified interpretation of a cocktail from a new drinks list. It's a large-volume pre-mixed which is packed with the flavours of a Christmas time, making it ideal for hosting a celebration. Save the extra syrup you can use for brunch beverages, sweets, or to mix more rounds of bikinis.

Makes enough for 10 servings
For the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
Making the Syrup: Place all the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a light boil, mixing so the sugar melts. Next, remove from the heat and leave to cool down entirely. Pour to a sterilised bottle, seal and store in the fridge, it can be stored for about a month.
Preparing the Premix: Combine the specified liquids into one sizeable container, let it rest for one hour, then filter it preferably using a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.
To serve: Pour 85ml of the cocktail base to a mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds until cold. Pour to a frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, top with the cranberries adding the final touch using a brief mist of the essential oil over the drink.
